We are asking the U.S. Agency for International Development (US AID) to contribute funding and technical expertise to the project. U.S. AID has a huge mission in Haiti with a multi-million dollar budget for "development" projects. $200,000 is a minor amount for an agency like U.S. AID to contribute to such an important project. Helping remove this toxic threat from Haiti will be a positive step towards improving Haiti's environment and will be a victory for international environmental justice.
