GHANA
"EDAG greets Altria and its new Marlboro Man - Louis Camilleri on April 25th. Good-bye to PM and Geoffrey Bible. You have damaged many youth-lungs and deforested our Ghanaian community. Altria and Camilleri must end this needless waste that claims the lives of eight people every minute globally, now. "

MAURITIUS
"Dear M. Camilleri,
250 million children alive to-day in the world will be killed by tobacco products. And YOURS? The tobacco industry is a responsible industry -- RESPONSIBLE indeed of 10,000 avoidable human deaths per day. How much will you earn as a CEO of a killing industry? These deaths are the price of your salary. Will you be able to explain your job to your children? Please find enclosed a greeting card from Mauritius on the occasion of your
new job."

URUGUAY
"Stop sowing economic terrorism and ruining the health of the peoples, especially the poor of the world! Camilleri, you will also dye your hands with the blood of youth, women and families destroyed by your products of death and destruction. Camilleri, you may end up in an international tribunal for participating and collaborating in destroying the health of the peoples, their happiness and economies."

UNITED STATES
(in order by state)

"Dear Mr. Camilleri:
To properly exalt THE PHILIP MORRIS name and the billions of dollars spent to make it a Household name, I think it only fitting and proper that you attach that name to all of the products you are responsible for. Only then can we really see what you're proud of."
-- Barbara Bruce

Arizona

"Mr. Camilleri, what exactly enticed you to pursue this career? Did you ever stop to think of what you are doing in your job, or what you are promoting? What would you do if you had a teen, and then found out that they were smoking your product? Would you encourage them, since it would be making you money? Or would you want them to quit? Have you ever thought of the damage to other families that your companies product does?"

"Mr. Camilleri, do you think that you are prepared and responsible enough to become part of a company that has lied to millions of people for decades? Under your leadership, will the company continue to spend billions of dollars each year on marketing strategies that addict and eventually kill millions of innocent victims.? How are you going keep the Philip Morris company alive by not creating tobacco advertisements aimed at youth in the U.S. and around the world? How are you going to keep the profits of the company rising by not making your company's products appealing to children?"

"If I had the opportunity to talk to the CEO of Philip Morris, I would ask him how his morning went. Did he have trouble looking in the mirror knowing that he would be killing people. Not just any people, but parents, children, innocent babies that die because of their mothers smoking his company's product. I don't understand how he can function as a person. How can he not know just how many people he affects?"

"Mr. Camilleri why would you want to work for corporation that targets young people? We're supposed to be the future so why try to kill us? Do you have no pity or guilt? Your new position could be the biggest mistake of your life. Please consider your values. There is a word for people who cause the death of others -- it is 'murderer'."

"If I got the chance to speak to Mr. Camilleri I would make two simple requests, and ask a question. My first request would be for him to halt his company from using flavoring that appeals to youth such as Chocolate, Mint, Licorice, and Honey. My second request would be for Phillip Morris to stop marketing their products to pre-teens in other countries through girl scouts, and lunchtime hand-outs. The last one is a question: If you don't want people around 18 to use your products, than would you be willing to give up 90% of your [new] customers each year?"

"Louis Camilleri and Philip Morris.... STOP KILLING MY FRIENDS." If I was to go to Richmond, VA, those would be the first words out of my mouth. I would be throwing out the corporate tobacco lies back in their faces so fast they wouldn't know what hit them."

"Dear Louis Camilleri,
I would like to write you and congratulate you on your new position as CEO of Philip Morris. I would like to wish you a long and healthy life, which I'm sure you'll have because I've heard that tobacco executives don't smoke; they reserve that right to "the young, the poor, the black, and the stupid." I just wanted to tell you that because of people like you, my parents might not have a long and healthy life, and because my siblings and I live with parents who smoke, we might not either."

"Philip Morris says that it has made "a commitment to responsible business practices." Seems like this includes the continuation of making tobacco products which addict and kill consumers. Also hurt and kill innocent bystanders who breathe the smoke, and injure and sometimes kill the fetus. A chilling thought that this should be considered "responsible business practices." So, Mr. Camilleri, have fun filling his good ole Geoffrey's shoes! Hope they FIT!

"So Philip Morris has a new CEO huh? “Louis Camilleri come on down! You’re the next contestant on Evil manipulation of Innocent Victims!” Boy I hope you feel special. Why don’t you just go on a major killing spree? After all, murder is murder, and you’re killing people with your poisonous products. What you're doing is getting the younger generation hooked on your product so they can replace the dying buyers. Louis, you’re a new Chair in the Business, you actually can turn this whole thing around, you can stop targeting teens with your advertisements, and start respecting youth. Target Market will still Target you and other tobacco companies as long as you are targeting us.”

“Mr. Camilleri, The number of children and teenagers smoking on a worldwide basis is enormous and efforts to stop it doesn't seem to be working. Is Phillip Morris truly concerned about preventing children and teenagers from smoking? If yes, then members of Target Market and I would like to see an initiative and meaningful drive by the tobacco industry and Altia, a.k.a. Phillip Morris to put their money and power where their mouth is to prevent teenagers, not just in the United States, but on a worldwide basis, from smoking."

A general message to Philip Morris/Altria…

"I know you own most of the world, including the popular cigarettes. I know you have been targeting young people. Even though you don't come out and tell us, we know. Why can't you just stop selling tobacco products when you already own half the world. Why can't you make your money off of things that will not kill people, why do you have to make money by killing people?
How can you sleep at night knowing that you kill about 5,618 in Minnesota but you also have to addict about 5,618 and about ninety percent are teenagers? Do you know how much you hurt families day in and day out? The reason why I am asking you is because my grandpa is dying because of you, he has been suffering with, smoking related, cancers for the past five years. My grandpa is so close to me and I am so sad to see him like this suffering for five years, so close to death but he keeps smoking. The product that he is suffering from and yet that one puff means so much to him that he won't quit even when he knows he is going to die because of you, Phillip Morris!"

And a "farewell" to Geoffrey Bible…

A retirement wish for Geoffrey Bible:
"Upon the occasion of your retirement you will probably look back on your accomplishments with a sense of pride and satisfaction. Your victims look back in despair and disgust. You have knowingly contributed to the deaths of millions of people, upset family structures all around the world, and sought to attract the young to shorten or reduce the quality of their lives. In view of your superlative performance it is our sincere hope that your rewards will be truly Biblical (as in a lung for a lung and a heart for a heart)."
