Personal Anecdotes

One of the true anecdotes I use frequently in speaking to students and lay audiences is that, while a third year medical student at Cornell University, one of my professors asked me to see a very unusual case with him, a woman with lung cancer. He told me that I might never see a case of a woman with lung cancer again. I always conclude that "we should have been so lucky!"
-- Marianne Prout, Cancer Prevention Education at Boston University School of Medicine (USA)
